Lonnie Walker IV Joins Besiktas After Nuggets Waiver

Lonnie Walker IV has signed a contract with Besiktas, three days after being waived by the Denver Nuggets. The announcement was made by the Turkish team and his agent Misko Raznatovic.

Walker, who was the 18th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, has played for four NBA teams over seven seasons. He has experience in European basketball, having played for Zalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania and Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel during the previous two seasons.

In the last EuroLeague season, Walker averaged 15.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. Besiktas, currently with a 1-2 record in Turkey's Basketbol Super Ligi and 2-3 in the EuroLeague, will look to Walker to enhance their performance in both leagues.
