Los Angeles Angels Part Ways with Manager Kurt Suzuki

The Los Angeles Angels have confirmed that Kurt Suzuki will not be returning as manager, following a challenging season that saw the team record its first 100-loss season with a 62-100 finish in 2026.

The decision to decline Suzuki's 2027 contract option comes amid a change in ownership, with Stan Kroenke aiming for a fresh start and a rebuild of the team. Suzuki, who had no prior coaching experience and was previously a special assistant in the front office, faced challenges in his management role.

As the Angels look for a new manager, potential candidates include former players Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina, both of whom have strong baseball backgrounds and connections to the team.
