Lottie Fry Makes History at FEI World Championships 2026

Lottie Fry from Great Britain has made history by becoming the first rider to retain both individual titles at the FEI World Championships. Competing in Aachen, Germany, she secured the Grand Prix Special title aboard her horse Glamourdale.

This achievement marks Fry as the first British rider to defend a World Championship title, setting the stage for her to pursue a rare double-double in the Grand Prix Freestyle event. Her performance earned a score of 91.907%, just shy of her personal best, which was enough to clinch another gold medal.

Fry previously won these titles in Herning, Denmark, four years ago. The British dressage team also secured a spot for the 2028 Olympics during this championship, with Fry's teammate Carl Hester aiming for his eighth Olympic appearance.
