Louisiana Judge Issues Injunction Affecting LSU and NCAA

A preliminary injunction signed by Louisiana District Judge William Jorden on Thursday restricts LSU from taking actions that could adversely affect 42 athletes suing for a fifth season of eligibility. This ruling also extends to the NCAA and the SEC, as the plaintiffs' lawyers specifically requested LSU's inclusion.

LSU must finalize its 105-man roster by midnight Friday ahead of its game against Clemson. Players Dae'Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris, who have joined LSU from Ole Miss, are expected to be included, with Harris recovering from an injury.

In a related development, the SEC filed a lawsuit against LSU in Alabama, naming several officials as defendants. This occurred while SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey was testifying in Baton Rouge. The plaintiffs' attorney expressed concerns about the SEC's actions and emphasized the need for compliance with court orders to protect the athletes.
