LPGA Announces Enhanced 2027 Schedule with Increased Purse and Reduced Travel
The LPGA revealed its 2027 schedule, which has received favorable feedback from players since its preview in August. The new schedule includes a total purse increase from $137 million to $147 million and a reduction of 12,000 miles in travel.
Key highlights of the schedule are two events in Hawaii and a focus on prestigious courses. The season will commence with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in Orlando in early February. A new tournament, the Futu Ladies World Championship, will debut in Hong Kong in March, followed by back-to-back events in Hawaii.
The schedule also features five major tournaments, including the Chevron Championship in April and the U.S. Women's Open in June. The LPGA aims to enhance player experience and efficiency in travel, with a commitment to showcasing top-tier venues.
