LSU Secures Court Ruling Allowing Former NFL Players to Join Team

The ruling includes a preliminary injunction against the SEC's ban on former professional athletes, which had been challenged in court by athletes seeking additional eligibility. The SEC had previously voted to enforce a ban, prompting legal action from affected players.

While LSU has won this legal battle, the SEC plans to continue contesting the ruling. Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr has urged SEC institutions to consider disciplinary actions if LSU proceeds with the inclusion of these players. The SEC stated that the ruling is temporary and they are prepared to defend their regulations.
