Luis Enrique Comments on Bradley Barcola's Transfer to Liverpool
Bradley Barcola has officially transferred from Paris Saint-Germain to Liverpool, a move completed just before the transfer window closed. This transfer marks three years since Barcola's own switch from Lyon to PSG.
Liverpool has agreed to pay an initial fee of £106 million (€125 million), with an additional £17 million (€20 million) in potential add-ons. Barcola, who scored 39 goals during his time at PSG, faced increased competition for playing time following the arrivals of new wingers Maghnes Akliouche and Mika Godts.
Coach Luis Enrique acknowledged Barcola's growth at PSG but noted that he could not guarantee the playing time the 24-year-old sought. He expressed his belief that the transfer is beneficial for everyone involved and wished Barcola success in his new chapter. Barcola may debut for Liverpool in their upcoming match against Ipswich Town as the team seeks its first win of the Premier League season.
