Lyon vs Crystal Palace: Team News Ahead of Europa League Match

Crystal Palace is set to play against Lyon in the Europa League this evening, marking a significant return for manager Pierre Sage to the Groupama Stadium, where he previously managed Lyon.

Sage, who led Lyon from November 2023 to January 2025, aims to secure a victory against his former team after having improved their fortunes during his tenure. Crystal Palace has been in good form, winning four of their last six matches, including a 4-0 victory over Lech Poznan in their opening Europa League match and a 3-1 win against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

Lyon also started their European campaign successfully, defeating Anderlecht 2-1 away, despite making several changes to their lineup. Both teams are looking to achieve two wins in the group stage, although Crystal Palace has struggled with away matches, winning only one of their last eight.
