M-Sport Unveils 2027 WRC Fiesta Kit Car
M-Sport has introduced a Rally2 kit car that will participate in the 2027 World Rally Championship, showcasing its design during a testing session in Spain.
The FIA has established a plan allowing Rally2 manufacturers to homologate an upgrade kit for €7,500, aimed at enhancing aerodynamic parity with the new WRC27 vehicles. The kit will include new front fenders, a front bumper, and a rear aerodynamic device, while also reducing the car's minimum weight by 10kg and incorporating a 33mm turbo restrictor.
M-Sport is the first team to develop an upgrade for its Ford Fiesta Rally2 car and plans to field three of these kit cars in the upcoming 15-round championship. The team has announced a new factory partnership with Ford, set to commence in 2028, with increased support starting next year. However, the driver lineup for 2027 remains unconfirmed, as team principal Richard Millener emphasized the importance of selecting talent that aligns with the team's long-term vision.
