Majority of 2026 NBA Draft Class Signs Contracts
Karim Lopez, selected 21st overall in the 2026 NBA Draft, has signed his rookie scale contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, completing the signing of all first-round picks from this draft class.
While all first-round players have secured contracts, only 19 out of 30 second-round picks have done so, leaving 11 players unsigned. Some of these players, like Narcisse Ngoy, are unlikely to sign before the 2026/27 season as they explore other options, including playing in college.
Others, such as Jack Kayil and Vsevolod Ishchenko, may pursue opportunities overseas. Richie Saunders, who suffered an ACL injury, faces uncertainty regarding his contract status, potentially starting on a two-way deal. The Pacers are also deliberating on Braden Smith's contract amid roster considerations, while teams like the Celtics are weighing their options for filling open roster spots.
