Malakai Black, who previously competed as Aleister Black in WWE, is scheduled to make his in-ring return this September with PROGRESS Wrestling in the UK, following his release after WrestleMania 42.

Prior to this announcement, Black had engaged in preliminary discussions with Major League Wrestling shortly after becoming a free agent last month. However, these talks did not progress significantly, and no contentious issues arose between the two parties.

Despite speculation regarding a potential return to AEW, reports indicate that the promotion is not interested in signing Black due to past difficulties during his tenure there. AEW sources have confirmed that there have been no recent discussions about his return.
