Malik Nabers Returns to Action in Giants' Victory Over Cowboys
The New York Giants secured a 28-20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys in their Week 1 matchup, marking the return of wide receiver Malik Nabers to the lineup. This was Nabers' first game since suffering a torn ACL and meniscus on September 28, 2025.
Prior to the game, Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart shared that head coach John Harbaugh demonstrated a physical interaction with Nabers during a walkthrough to boost his confidence. Nabers ultimately decided to play just three hours before kickoff after testing his knee and feeling ready, despite having undergone a clean-up procedure related to his earlier injury.
Nabers had initially expressed concerns about risking his career by playing, even advising his family not to attend the game to avoid disappointing them if he couldn't participate. In the end, he recorded six receptions for 69 yards. The Giants will now monitor how Nabers' knee responds as they prepare for their next game against the Los Angeles Rams on September 21.
