Man Rescued from Mud as Tidal Waters Rise

A man was rescued from mud on the banks of the River Alt near Blundellsands Sailing Club in Sefton, Merseyside, as rising waters posed a danger. The incident occurred on Sunday, prompting a call to the coastguard.

Coastguards from HM Coastguard Crosby noted that the area is challenging to navigate, especially with the incoming tide. Fire service crews assisted in the rescue, successfully freeing the man from the mud.

After the rescue, paramedics assessed the man, who fortunately did not require additional medical treatment, according to the coastguards.
