Manas Dhamne Selected for India's Davis Cup Team Against South Korea
India has included 19-year-old Manas Dhamne in their Davis Cup squad for the first time as they prepare for a match against South Korea in Seoul on September 18-19.
Dhamne, currently ranked World No. 362, joins Sumit Nagal and Dhakshineswar Suresh in the singles lineup, while Yuki Bhambri and N Sriram Balaji will compete in doubles. Arnav Paparkar and Sidharth Rawat are named as reserves. This selection follows India's recent 3-2 victory over the Netherlands, which advanced them to the second qualifying round for the first time since the Davis Cup format changed in 2019.
The upcoming tie is significant as the winner will secure a place in the Davis Cup Final 8 in Bologna in November. South Korea also recently triumphed in a close 3-2 match against Argentina, setting the stage for a competitive encounter.
