Manchester City Considers Bid for Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez
Manchester City is evaluating the possibility of making a bid for Enzo Fernandez, the Chelsea midfielder who transferred from Benfica for £107 million in 2023. Fernandez participated in Chelsea's opening Premier League match against Fulham, where he received mixed reactions from fans.
Earlier in August, Chelsea established a deadline for bids, which was ignored by City. Despite this, City maintains interest in Fernandez, especially following the departure of Rodri. City has also signed Ayyoub Bouaddi and is exploring additional midfield options, including Bournemouth's Alex Scott and Roma's Manu Kone.
The relationship between Chelsea and City has been strained, particularly after Chelsea's previous compensation claim against City for Enzo Maresca's departure. Chelsea's asking price for Fernandez remains uncertain, although it was previously set at around £120 million.
