Manchester City Faces Atletico Madrid in Final Pre-Season Match
Manchester City is set to conclude its pre-season tour of Asia with a match against Atletico Madrid in Seoul. This game marks the final preparation for Enzo Maresca’s squad before they compete against Arsenal in the Community Shield next Sunday.
This match will be Maresca’s third game in charge, following a penalty shootout loss to Inter Milan and a victory over K-League All Stars. For this encounter, he has made four changes to the lineup, bringing in Matheus Nunes, Vitor Reis, Savinho, and Omar Marmoush, while Rico Lewis, Abdukodir Khusanov, Rayan Ait-Nouri, and Divin Mubama will not participate, with Khusanov returning home for personal reasons.
Atletico Madrid, managed by Diego Simeone, has played two pre-season matches, winning against Getafe and losing to Manchester United. They will field an experienced team, including Jan Oblak and Koke, with new signing Lee Kang-in potentially making a bench appearance.
