Manchester City Players Not Signed During Charges Period
No players currently in Manchester City's squad were signed during the timeframe in which the club was found guilty of breaching Premier League financial regulations, according to an independent commission.
The violations occurred between 2009 and 2018, and the club has denied any wrongdoing while appealing the charges. Ruben Dias, who joined from Benfica in 2020, is the longest-serving player acquired from another club, followed by Erling Haaland, who arrived from Borussia Dortmund in 2022.
Phil Foden is the only player who participated during the period of the breaches, having come through the youth ranks and made his first-team debut in November 2017. Rico Lewis, another academy product, did not debut until August 2022. All other senior players were signed between 2023 and 2026.
