Manchester City Secures Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea for £125m
Manchester City has reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign midfielder Enzo Fernandez for £125m, a deal that matches the British record transfer fee previously set by Liverpool for Alexander Isak.
Fernandez, who joined Chelsea from Benfica for £107m in 2023, played in Chelsea's opening Premier League match against Fulham but was absent in subsequent games against Luton and Brighton. He expressed a desire to move to City to reunite with former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca.
As Chelsea seeks a replacement for Fernandez, they are considering options including Manu Kone from Roma and Lamine Camara from Monaco. The transfer window is set to close at 11pm, but clubs can submit deal sheets for an additional two hours to finalize transactions.
