Manchester City Signs Ayyoub Bouaddi for Record £86m

Manchester City has officially signed midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille in a record-breaking transfer valued at £86 million. The deal includes a fixed fee of £81.3 million along with £4.3 million in potential add-ons.

Bouaddi, who is 18 years old, has committed to a five-year contract with City, which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2031. This transfer surpasses the previous record for a teenage signing in the Premier League, previously held by Manchester United's acquisition of Leny Yoro for £58.9 million in 2024.

The Moroccan midfielder gained recognition during the recent World Cup, where he was a standout performer.
