Manchester Storm Cancels Match Due to Ice Issues

The Manchester Storm canceled their Challenge Cup match against the Nottingham Panthers at AO Arena due to a technical issue with the ice. This marked the team's first competitive game at the venue in 24 years, originally set to begin at 16:00 BST on Sunday.

Fans experienced a delay before the club announced the suspension of the match shortly before a revised start time of 19:30. The Storm expressed their apologies to supporters and ticket holders for the inconvenience and requested that fans keep their tickets for a rescheduled game on 14 October.

The AO Arena had hosted a concert by Hilary Duff the night before the hockey match. The Storm returned to the arena on 6 September after leaving Planet Ice in Altrincham, aiming to capitalize on the growing popularity of ice hockey.
