Manchester United Fans Protest Ownership at Old Trafford

Thousands of Manchester United fans gathered to protest against the club's ownership both inside and outside Old Trafford prior to the derby match against Manchester City.

Demonstrators, responding to a call from the 1958 Group, displayed flares and marched through the Munich tunnel. Inside the stadium, the Red Army group opted for a single banner above the players' tunnel that criticized the treatment of fans, while the only other banners present were those put up by the club.

The protests highlighted frustrations regarding the club's ticketing policies, especially after the announcement of bans on 685 fan accounts due to alleged touting activities. Supporters expressed their dissatisfaction with minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who was present at the match, and reiterated their long-standing opposition to the Glazer family's ownership.
