Manchester United Nears Agreement to Sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton
Manchester United is on the verge of reaching a full agreement with Brighton for the transfer of midfielder Carlos Baleba. The deal is anticipated to exceed £60 million, and a five-year contract is prepared for the 22-year-old Cameroon international.
Baleba is reportedly getting ready to travel to Manchester for a medical examination, which will be scheduled promptly after the deal is finalized. Although the final fee and terms are still being negotiated, the transfer has been a focus for United since last autumn.
Currently recovering from an ankle ligament injury sustained during pre-season, Baleba is not expected to be sidelined for long. He has been a key target for Manchester United this summer, following the signings of Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans. Baleba joined Brighton from Lille in 2023 and has made 112 appearances for the club, including 35 last season.
