Manchester United Negotiates Transfer for Carlos Baleba from Brighton

Manchester United is reportedly nearing a deal to sign Carlos Baleba, a midfielder from Brighton, as they reignite their interest in the player.

Last summer, United sought to acquire the Cameroon international but were deterred by Brighton's asking price, which exceeded £100 million. With the valuation now significantly lower, United has resumed negotiations after missing out on Matheus Fernandes earlier this summer. Their initial offer of £60 million is still below Brighton's expectations, but discussions are ongoing.

Baleba, who made 35 appearances for Brighton last season, is currently sidelined due to an ankle injury sustained during a pre-season training camp. Brighton's squad is set to travel to Norway for a UEFA Conference League match, while United continues to assess their midfield options following recent signings.
