Manchester United Signs Carlos Baleba from Brighton
Manchester United has officially signed midfielder Carlos Baleba from Brighton in a transfer deal valued at up to £70 million, which includes a guaranteed fee of £65 million and an additional £5 million in add-ons.
The 22-year-old Cameroon international has committed to a five-year contract with the option for an additional year. Although currently sidelined due to an ankle injury sustained during pre-season, reports suggest he could return by mid-September, ahead of a match against Manchester City.
Baleba's transfer concludes a lengthy pursuit that began last autumn, with United expressing interest in him during the January transfer window. He becomes the third midfielder added to the squad this summer, following Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans.
