Mansoor Delane Approaches NFL Debut for Chiefs
Mansoor Delane, a rookie cornerback for the Kansas City Chiefs, is getting closer to making his NFL debut. The No. 6 pick from LSU has been practicing in a yellow non-contact jersey and was held out of the preseason opener against the Los Angeles Rams.
Recent updates indicate that Delane has removed the yellow jersey, signaling progress in his recovery. General manager Brett Veach mentioned that Delane is expected to be fully cleared in the coming days, allowing him to participate in all team activities. The Chiefs' secondary has undergone significant changes this offseason, and Delane will be stepping into a crucial role alongside second-year cornerback Nohl Williams.
Delane is anticipated to see limited action in the upcoming game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on August 22, marking his first experience in the NFL.
