Mansoor Delane Suffers Short-Term Shoulder Injury
Kansas City Chiefs rookie cornerback Mansoor Delane is reportedly dealing with a short-term shoulder injury sustained during a game against the Denver Broncos on Monday night.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Delane's X-rays and CT scans returned negative, indicating no serious injury. He is scheduled for an MRI to further assess the situation. Delane, who was the No. 6 overall pick in this year's draft, had just recorded his first career interception on his third snap before the injury occurred.
Delane's injury appears to be an aggravation of a previous shoulder issue he experienced during the offseason and training camp. The Chiefs are set to face the Indianapolis Colts in their next game on Sunday night.
