Manthey Team Discusses Feller's Performance Challenges
Ricardo Feller is facing challenges in his adaptation to the Manthey team, currently trailing teammate Thomas Preining 10-0 in qualifying results. Preining, who has been with Manthey since 2022 and became the DTM champion in 2023, holds a significant lead in the overall standings, ranking fourth with 117 points, while Feller is in 14th place with 64 points.
Patrick Arkenau, Head of Track Operations at Manthey, expressed satisfaction with Feller's development, noting that the team anticipated a gradual adjustment period for the newcomer. He highlighted that Preining's familiarity with the team and car gives him a distinct advantage, having been with Manthey for several years.
Arkenau drew parallels to Ayhancan Guven's initial struggles in 2024, suggesting that Feller may follow a similar trajectory of improvement. He emphasized that adapting to the unique dynamics of the DTM and the specific driving style required for the Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo takes time, but he expects Feller to become competitive by the season's end.
