Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Relaunches Training Academy with Josh Alexander as Head Coach

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling has announced the relaunch of the Can-Am Dojo wrestling school in Windsor, Ontario, now named the MLP Academy. AEW wrestler Josh Alexander will take on the role of head coach.

The MLP Academy is scheduled to open in October within a new 4,000-square foot facility. Details regarding registration and course offerings will be provided in the coming months. Scott D'Amore, the president of MLP, will serve as the General Manager of the academy.

The academy aims to provide comprehensive training for aspiring professional wrestlers, featuring both beginner and advanced courses, along with specialized seminars led by industry professionals. These seminars will focus on various skills, including brand building and in-ring techniques. Students will also have opportunities to perform in front of live audiences during regular showcase events.

Noteworthy alumni from the original Can-Am Dojo include several prominent wrestlers such as Rhino and the Motor City Machine Guns. Alexander expressed his gratitude for the training he received at the dojo and his eagerness to contribute to the future of wrestling.
