Marc Marquez Advises Isack Hadjar to Skip Dutch GP Due to Injury
Marc Marquez has provided insight into his recommendation for Isack Hadjar to refrain from participating in the Dutch Grand Prix while he recovers from a wrist injury. Hadjar, a Red Bull driver, had expressed a desire to race at Zandvoort despite sustaining the injury during a gym workout the previous week.
Ultimately, Hadjar decided to withdraw from the race after discussions with team principal Laurent Mekies and Marquez, who both encouraged him to prioritize his recovery. Marquez, who has experienced significant setbacks in his own career due to injuries, advised Hadjar against rushing back into competition, highlighting the potential long-term consequences of such decisions.
Marquez's perspective stems from his own challenges following an arm fracture in 2020, which led to a lengthy recovery process. Hadjar's absence allowed Liam Lawson to step in as his replacement for the race, while the timeline for Hadjar's return remains uncertain, with the next Grand Prix set for September 6 in Monza.
