Marc Marquez Aims for Victory at Malaysian GP Following Strong Friday Performance
Marc Marquez is focused on extending his lead in the MotoGP championship during the Malaysian Grand Prix after a strong start at Sepang on Friday. He topped both the morning and afternoon practice sessions, showcasing his confidence with the GP26 bike.
Despite a minor crash at Turn 15, Marquez expressed satisfaction with his performance and noted the competitive presence of Ducati riders, including his brother Alex, who finished second. With Jorge Martin, his closest rival, dealing with an injury, Marquez sees this as an opportunity to solidify his championship position.
Other competitors, including Marco Bezzecchi from Aprilia, acknowledged the strength of the Ducati bikes at Sepang but remain hopeful for improvements. Bezzecchi noted that while he is currently behind Marquez in the standings, he aims to enhance his performance as the weekend progresses.
