Marc Marquez Struggles with Tyre Issues at British GP Sprint
Marc Marquez encountered unexpected challenges during the British Grand Prix sprint at Silverstone, ultimately finishing in ninth place and only managing to secure a single point.
Marquez initially advanced to fourth position after overtaking Marco Bezzecchi but began to struggle on lap five as Bezzecchi regained his position. As Marquez's lap times fell into the 2m00s range, he lost ground to competitors including Alex Marquez, Pedro Acosta, and Franco Morbidelli.
Despite anticipating some tyre wear, Marquez was surprised by the severity of the rear-tyre graining he experienced, which he described as starting unusually early in the race. He noted that while other riders also faced tyre issues, his situation was particularly severe. Marquez expressed disappointment and hopes to find a solution with his team for the next race.
