Marco Bezzecchi Faces Challenges Ahead of British GP Return

Marco Bezzecchi is set to return to MotoGP action at the British Grand Prix this weekend, contingent on passing a medical test. The Aprilia rider has expressed concerns about his fitness after suffering a broken collarbone during the Sachsenring sprint, which sidelined him for the rest of the German GP weekend.

Following his injury, Bezzecchi underwent surgery on his shoulder and knee, leading to an extended recovery period. He recently managed to ride a production bike but is uncertain about his performance on a MotoGP bike at Silverstone. During a pre-event press conference in London, he shared that while he feels somewhat better, he is still not at 100% capacity.

Bezzecchi, who achieved his first victory with Aprilia at Silverstone last year, reflected on his current mindset, acknowledging that he is approaching this race with a different mentality due to his situation. He has dropped from first to fourth in the championship standings after a series of setbacks, including not scoring points in the last four races. Despite the challenges, he remains hopeful about staying competitive in the championship as the season progresses.
