Marco Bezzecchi Leads Aprilia in Australian GP Practice
Marco Bezzecchi secured the fastest time in the practice session for the Australian Grand Prix on Friday at Phillip Island, marking a strong start for Aprilia.
Bezzecchi, who recently won in Indonesia, clocked a time of 1m26.775s, narrowly beating Raul Fernandez on a satellite Trackhouse bike. Marc Marquez, the only Ducati rider in contention, finished third after leading earlier in the session.
The practice session experienced interruptions, including a red flag due to Bezzecchi's crash at Turn 4 and another for wildlife on the track. Despite these setbacks, Bezzecchi's time remained unbeaten as the session concluded, with championship leader Jorge Martin finishing fifth.
