Marcus Rashford Set for Reintegration into Manchester United Squad
Marcus Rashford is set to be fully reintegrated into the Manchester United squad following the conclusion of his loan at Barcelona earlier this summer. He last played for United in December 2024 and has also spent time on loan at Aston Villa.
Barcelona opted not to activate their £26 million purchase option for Rashford, allowing him to return to United. His presence is expected to provide manager Michael Carrick with valuable options on the left wing and as a central forward, especially as Benjamin Sesko is still recovering from injury.
While Rashford's return is welcomed by Carrick, questions remain about his ability to regain his previous form. Carrick, who has a history of working with Rashford, will oversee his reintegration during the team's pre-season preparations in Dublin. Although Rashford may not play in the upcoming match against Leeds, he could participate in a subsequent friendly against AC Milan in Poland.
