Mariners Reactivate Cooper Criswell from Injured List
The Seattle Mariners have reinstated right-hander Cooper Criswell from the 60-day injured list, providing a boost to their bullpen as the season nears its end.
Criswell takes over the active roster position of Nick Davila, who has been placed on the 15-day injured list due to an SC joint sprain. To accommodate this change on the 40-man roster, infielder Colt Emerson has been moved to the 60-day injured list following a decision for season-ending wrist surgery.
Initially acquired in the offseason, Criswell had been performing well in a relief role prior to his injury, posting a 3.52 earned run average over 30 2/3 innings across 26 appearances. He was sidelined in June due to a pectoral strain, but now returns to aid the Mariners as they navigate the final weeks of the season.
