Mark Cuban Acknowledges Pablo Torre After NBA Punishes Clippers
Mark Cuban has publicly acknowledged journalist Pablo Torre following the NBA's significant penalties against the Los Angeles Clippers and their owner, Steve Ballmer, for salary-cap circumvention.
The NBA's investigation revealed that the Clippers funneled millions to player Kawhi Leonard, resulting in a historic punishment that includes a one-year suspension for Ballmer, a $30 million fine for the team, and the loss of first-round draft picks from 2029 to 2033. Leonard is also required to repay $700,000 to the league.
This investigation was prompted by Torre's reporting on a no-show contract Leonard had with Aspiration, a company linked to the Clippers. Cuban, who had previously defended Ballmer, expressed skepticism about the allegations but later conceded after the NBA's findings were released.
