Mark Cuban Withdraws Lawsuit Against Patrick Dumont

Mark Cuban has formally withdrawn his lawsuit against Patrick Dumont, marking a significant development in their legal dispute. This decision was reported by Christian Clark of The Athletic, noting that Cuban's attorneys filed the withdrawal earlier this week.

The lawsuit, initiated by Cuban, aimed to obtain sworn testimony concerning the Mavericks' plans for a new arena in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Cuban, who was the majority owner of the Mavericks from 2000 to 2023, alleged that Dumont was excluding him from business opportunities linked to the arena project and accused him of adversarial business practices.

Despite the withdrawal, tensions between Cuban and Dumont may persist, as Cuban has expressed regret over selling his controlling interest in the team to Dumont and Miriam Adelson. Cuban still retains a 27 percent minority stake in the Mavericks.
