Mark Mitchell Decides to Stay with Missouri Tigers
Mark Mitchell has confirmed his decision to continue playing for the Missouri Tigers instead of transferring to the Kentucky Wildcats.
After receiving a fifth year of eligibility due to a temporary restraining order against the NCAA, which allowed certain recruits to benefit from new eligibility guidelines, Mitchell initially entered the transfer portal. The talented guard from Kansas City, Missouri, had previously played two seasons at Duke before joining Mizzou.
Despite committing to Kentucky, Mitchell faced challenges due to SEC regulations that restrict player transfers within the conference outside of specific windows. Consequently, he has chosen to remain at Missouri, where he had a successful season, averaging 18.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game.
