
Mark Selby Wins Fourth China Open Title Against Noppon Saengkham
Mark Selby triumphed over Noppon Saengkham with a score of 10-6 to win his fourth China Open title in Taiyuan. This victory marks Selby's first ranking final appearance in China in eight years.
Selby, who is 43 years old, had previously won the China Open in 2015, 2017, and 2018. After trailing 4-2 early in the match, he leveled the score at 4-4 before dominating the second session with breaks of 58, 90, 69, and 53.
Saengkham, who reached his second ranking final after defeating notable players like Judd Trump and Ronnie O'Sullivan, managed to respond with a break of 71. However, Selby maintained control and secured the win, earning £250,000, while Saengkham received £100,000 as the runner-up. Following this tournament, Saengkham rose 18 places in the world rankings to 27th.
