
Marlen Reusser Claims First Yellow Jersey at Tour de France Femmes
Marlen Reusser from Switzerland won the fourth stage of the Tour de France Femmes, a 21km time trial from Gevrey-Chambertin to Dijon, earning her first yellow jersey. She completed the course in 27 minutes and 30 seconds, finishing 14 seconds ahead of Demi Vollering, who placed third.
Reusser surpassed the time set by Lieke Nooijen by four seconds, while Zoe Backstedt, a junior world champion, finished fourth, 20 seconds behind the leader. The previous leader, Sigrid Haugset of Norway, fell to fourth place after finishing three minutes behind Reusser.
Riders faced temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius during the trial. Defending champion Pauline Ferrand-Prevot also struggled, losing over two minutes to Reusser. Reusser expressed her happiness about the victory, noting that her team had been planning for this stage for a long time.
