Marli Salmon Signs First Professional Contract with Arsenal

Arsenal defender Marli Salmon has officially signed his first professional contract, coinciding with his 17th birthday.

Salmon made his debut for the first team during a Champions League match against Club Brugge in December and later secured his first start in an FA Cup victory over Mansfield. Originally an attacker when he joined Arsenal's academy in 2019, he has transitioned to a defensive role, primarily playing as a centre-back and occasionally at right-back.

After signing, Salmon expressed pride in his achievement, acknowledging the hard work he and his family have invested in his football journey. He was among six young players who debuted during Arsenal's Premier League title-winning season, emphasizing the challenges and dedication required to maintain high performance throughout the season.
