Marshall Faulk Diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease
Marshall Faulk, a renowned NFL running back and current head football coach at Southern University, has disclosed his diagnosis of Parkinson's disease in a recent interview with Dr. Sandeep Thakkar.
Faulk, who is 53 years old, noticed a tremor in his hands while golfing, prompting him to seek medical testing. He expressed a pragmatic approach to his diagnosis, comparing it to previous surgeries he has undergone and emphasizing the importance of managing the condition.
In addition to his coaching role, Faulk had an illustrious playing career, accumulating over 12,000 rushing yards and earning numerous accolades, including league MVP in 2000. His diagnosis aligns with a trend observed among former NFL players, as neurodegenerative diseases are a known risk associated with long careers in the sport.
