Marvin Harrison Jr. Traded to Texans After Discontent with Cardinals
Marvin Harrison Jr. has been traded from the Arizona Cardinals to the Houston Texans after showing signs of discontent with the Cardinals. His dissatisfaction stemmed from a declined request for a $50,000 Seeker catching machine, which he had used during his time at Ohio State.
Harrison, selected fourth overall by the Cardinals in 2024, had hoped to incorporate the advanced training device into his routine. Following the rejection of his request, he purchased the machine himself. His frustration grew as he felt underutilized in the Cardinals' offense, especially after fellow receiver Michael Wilson received a lucrative contract extension.
The trade also involved the Texans acquiring a 2027 seventh-round pick in exchange for a second and sixth-round pick. This move marks the fourth time in a decade that a top-10 pick from the Cardinals has left the team. In his rookie season, Harrison recorded 62 receptions for 880 yards and eight touchdowns, but his performance declined in the following year. He was inactive for the Cardinals' recent loss to the Lions before the trade was finalized.
