Mason Miller Returns to Padres from Paternity List
Mason Miller will rejoin the San Diego Padres for their upcoming game against the Milwaukee Brewers after being activated from the paternity list. This decision comes as the Padres aim to keep their postseason hopes alive, having lost the first two games of the series.
Miller was placed on the paternity list prior to Game 3, leading to the addition of left-hander Wandy Peralta to the roster. The Padres faced a challenging situation, missing both Miller and left-hander Adrián Morejón, who was unavailable due to shoulder issues. In their last game, the Padres managed to secure a 4-3 victory, with Nick Pivetta starting and Michael King closing the game.
As the series stands at 2-1 in favor of the Brewers, the Padres are still in a must-win situation. Manager Craig Stammen expressed hope that Morejón might also be available for the game. Walker Buehler is set to start for San Diego, while Robert Gasser will take the mound for Milwaukee.
