Massachusetts Gaming Commission Investigates Cardinals Executive Ryan Gold
Ryan Gold, the director of college scouting for the Arizona Cardinals, is under investigation by the Arizona Department of Gaming, leading to his suspension. The Massachusetts Gaming Commission has also begun looking into the matter, focusing on unusual betting patterns in the state.
Gold's attorney, Mike Caspino, maintains that Gold is innocent and claims that the allegations lack substance. He criticized the NFL's investigation as flawed and expressed confidence that Gold will be vindicated in an upcoming appeal hearing scheduled for September 23.
Gold has been accused of leaking inside information about the Cardinals' intention to select Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love as the third overall pick in the 2026 draft. According to Caspino, only team owner Michael Bidwill and General Manager Monti Ossenfort were aware of the team's plans.
