Matt Hardy Discusses TNA Tag Title Loss and Jeff Hardy's Canada Entry Issues
Matt Hardy recently discussed the circumstances surrounding the loss of the TNA World Tag Team titles by him and his brother Jeff during the TNA Lockdown event. The Hardys lost the titles to Nic and Ryan Nemeth in the main event held on August 23 at Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
In a podcast episode, Matt highlighted that Jeff continues to face challenges entering Canada, although he did not specify the reasons. It is known that Jeff has multiple DUI convictions, the latest occurring in June 2022. Additionally, Matt noted that the TNA Lockdown event ran longer than expected, resulting in the main event being shortened by six minutes.
Matt expressed satisfaction with their match despite the time constraints and mentioned that there is a focus on Nic Nemeth, who is being positioned as a significant heel for Leon Slater's storyline. The aim is to elevate Slater's journey towards potentially becoming the youngest TNA World Champion.
