The interest comes amid TNA's ongoing partnership with WWE, which also includes AAA, a lucha libre promotion acquired by WWE in April 2025. Recently, The War Raiders became the AAA World Tag Team Champions after defeating Pagano and Psycho Clown.

Matt and Jeff's latest reign as TNA tag team champions concluded at the Lockdown event against The Nemeth Brothers. Nic Nemeth, who is also the TNA World Champion, made history by becoming a double champion, a feat not seen in nearly two decades.
