Matt Payne Claims Victory at Supercars Perth Race

Matt Payne triumphed at the Supercars race held at Wanneroo Raceway in Perth, edging out Broc Feeney for the victory.

Feeney started strong, taking pole position and leading the initial laps of the 80-lap race. The turning point occurred after the second round of pit stops when Payne, who pitted on lap 50, managed to overtake Feeney shortly after he rejoined the track, despite the two cars making contact.

Payne's win extends his lead in the championship standings, now at 1950 points, while Feeney remains in second place. Anton De Pasquale finished third, and the next Supercars event will take place at Queensland Raceway from August 21-23.
