Matthew Bergeron Signs Four-Year Extension with Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons have finalized a four-year contract extension with left guard Matthew Bergeron, ensuring his presence on the team through the 2030 season.

The announcement was made on Saturday, although the team did not disclose the financial details. Reports from ESPN and NFL Network indicate that the deal is valued at $96 million, with $60 million guaranteed.

Bergeron, who is 26 years old and hails from Montreal, was drafted by the Falcons in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He has started in 49 of 51 games since joining the team. His performance, alongside left tackle Jake Matthews, contributed to the Falcons leading the league in 2025 with 61 first downs from that side of the offensive line. Bergeron expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to remain in Atlanta, highlighting the community's support since his arrival.
