Matthew Stafford Sets Franchise Touchdown Records
Matthew Stafford has established himself as the all-time leader in passing touchdowns for the Los Angeles Rams, further cementing his legacy as one of the top quarterbacks in the history of two franchises. This achievement came during a game against the Raiders, where Stafford surpassed Roman Gabriel's record.
Stafford is now recognized as the first player in modern NFL history to hold the franchise record for passing touchdowns with two different teams, having previously set the record with the Detroit Lions. He expressed gratitude to his teammates and coaches for their support in reaching this milestone.
When Stafford left the Lions in early 2021, he had 282 touchdown passes, significantly ahead of Bobby Layne, who had 118. Currently, Jared Goff ranks second in Lions history with 163 touchdown passes, while Goff also holds the sixth position in Rams history with 107 touchdowns, trailing behind several notable quarterbacks.
